The Back Story

In 1993 in a basement far far away, a band of high school teenagers borrowed the family's camcorder, forever changing their lives. It was only a year previous that the plan went into action, but most of what was documented was not preserved from the rental camera down town. Flash forward a summer later and it all comes full circle. With a beautiful July evening upon them the teens set out to entertain the world or at the very least the live crowd in the basement with their humour, all while being sober the whole time. In 1995 a local TV station was given permission to view the material these crazy kids had in the vault. After a meeting with a small time big time producer the team was given the green light to have a show 1 night a week, 4 nights a month, with the possibility of re-runs.

What seemed like a dream come true was not to be. The teens with dreams got lost in the shuffle during a confusing move for the TV studio and the show "Strange Crew" never aired. However the kids did continue filming which lasted the better part of that decade finally wrapping up just after the year 2000. Suddenly the vault was full and no stage to be found. Then along came YouTube. On September 08, 2006, almost 5 years since the camera stopped rolling, the first of the 60 + video's were uploaded for the world to see. Suddenly there was some interest in looking back at the good times they all had. This lead to a few new video's being produced in hopes of getting some of the group back together for some sort of reunion tour. Although that hasn't happened yet, some still keep the dream alive.

Today

Most of the "Strange Crew" cast have moved away, married or started families, they all do there best too peek in from time to time to remember what it was to be young and full of fun. The teens now all grown up men and women do return to home base occasionaly to talk amongst themselves over new ideas for future projects. At some point there may be new video's on the horizon so stay tunned, but for now there will always be a place to kick back and look back at BoyBlizzard.com
